I am very experienced at helping Texas residents save money on their tax returns. Filing your taxes can be a complicated process, but if done well, it can be a source of added income for you and your family.
My goal is to help taxpayers minimize their tax liability, help them file on time, and help them pay the lowest amount of tax allowed by law. I am aware of the various tax deadlines and I keep up to date regarding any changes to the tax law. I am very punctual, so I work hard to have all my clients’ taxes filed on time!
I work closely in offering real estate tax consulting, IRS representation, budgeting, education planning, retirement planning, and personal financial statements.

- Determining basis on stock sales
- IRS notices related to stock proceeds that went unreported
Its not uncommon to receive a 1099 B after you have filed your return. If you do, please notify me as soon as possible. If not, the IRS will assume a zero basis and send you a notice for additional tax due.

I have been working with Evelyn on my taxes since moving to Austin several years ago. I am a retiree and an active stock trader utilizing short term trades. By working closely with Evelyn, she does an excellent job of minimizing my tax liability.
In addition, when it comes to taxes, I am somewhat of a procrastinator. But Evelyn, works diligently to ensure that I get her everything she needs to make an on time filing.
I would highly recommend Evelyn Edwards for one’s tax accounting.

Frequently Asked Questions:
What are the benefits of using a CPA for personal tax preparation?
Simply due to my experience, I am able to deal with a variety of difficult situations. If you don’t feel comfortable doing your own taxes, have an experienced CPA do it. Why is it better to hire a CPA instead of doing it yourself?
